Hello everyone it’s nice to be back.
During the baseball season it’s difficult to stay current with the website. But now that the off season is upon us I have a lot of work to do, products to look at, and questions to answer, but first I wanted to give everyone a quick recap of our past few months. Our marathon of a baseball season ended up pretty well. I played the whole minor league season in AAA Rochester, New York where we were one game away from making the playoffs. At the conclusion of our 144 game season I was called up to Minnesota and played the last 30 games in the big leagues for the Twins.
In Rochester I played mostly every day, hit .280 and ran into 6 homers. I led the team in RBI’s and played everywhere on the field. The only positions I didn’t play were center field, catcher, and pitcher. Most of the time I played shortstop but it was nice to move around the field to help my versatility and learn about things to pass along to you.
Off the field things were crazy. As if living out of one suitcase and sleeping in a hotel for 6 straight months wasn’t hectic enough, my wife was 8 months pregnant at the beginning of September. It couldn’t have worked out any more perfect. After we played our last game of the season in Detroit we flew back to Minneapolis I got in my car and drove home. The morning after I got home we had our second child. A beautiful healthy baby girl.
Since then we have adjusted to having another child in the house and getting ready for the next baseball season.
This past season was great for a few reasons:
1. I learned more this season than in any of my 12 professional seasons.
2. Our TEAM in Rochester was a great team.
3. I consistently hit well for the second year in a row.
4. Stayed injury free.
5. Played in the big leagues for the second straight year.
With these five positives from my baseball season I have a lot to write about and add to our website. I am very thankful to the people I played with and the people that contributed to the website during the season.
